Innotech provides highly productive web press finishing equipment such as:

A finishing line consists of some or all of the above units and is custom configured to meet the customer's needs to produce various flyers, direct mail and promotional items. Addition of one or more of the above auxiliary equipment to your web press will add specific product capabilities. All of the units incorporate Innotech’s user friendly design and are built to highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

PATTERN GLUE UNIT applies finely metered glue, coating solution on scratch of coatings to web. The units include, 360º motorized circumferential register and are available in various configurations. The units can be supplied with segmented glue are available with quick change over cassettes.

PATTERN PERF UNIT applies perforations to the web using litho perf tape. The plate cylinders are customized to use same plates as the press. Features include 360º motorized circumferential register as well as on-the-run depth-of-perf adjustment.

DIE CUTTER UNIT is available for use with etched steel plate dies mounted on a magnetic plate cylinder. The unit includes cylinder. The unit includes cylinders mounted in preloaded tapered roller bearings with precise adjustment of pressure between cylinders in increments of .0001".

RIBBON DECKS are custom configured to slit web into multiple ribbons and realign the ribbons including the ability to reverse ribbons. Motorized movement of angle bars and compensators with position indicators for each enable quick make ready.

GAP-CUTTING ROTARY CUTTER enables cutting and bleed trimming folded products using patented vacuum cutterhead to pull trim through the center of cylinder.

PLOW FOLDING STATIONS are used for making running folds in the web or ribbons. Innotech Plow Station contains two rotary plow shoes, mounted on cross slide with horizontal and vertical movement. Each station contains a driven pull roller with nip wheels and two movable roller assemblies, one before and one after the plow. These rollers are easily movable by a hand-wheel and enable quick set up of the plow fold geometry.

 SIMPLIFIED FINISHING LINE

Innotech offers low cost finishing lines for half web presses that produces two around bleed cut folded products as well as cut and stack flat sheets in a high pile delivery. The finishing line produces a variety of folded direct mail and promotional pieces, trimmed to size and ready to ship off the press. The finishing line consists of two INNOFORMER™ folding stations combined with Innotech's Gap Cutting Sheeter. The patented vacuum cutterhead of the Gap Cutting Sheeter cuts and removes two bleed chips per repeat through the center of cylinder with relatively low vacuum.

INNOFORMER folding station is designed for two stream operation with minimum make-ready tome. INNOFORMER™ assembly consists of two air bars with nose cones located at a compound angle. Due to inherent geometry of INNOFORMER™ , time consuming adjustments needed by plow shoes are eliminated.

Using Innotech Gap Cutting Sheeter with INNOFORMER™ stations provides capabilities to run folded products as ell as flat sheets with less capital investment.

OFFLINE FINISHING SYSTEM

Innotech Variable Size Offline Finishing System offers the capability to process preprinted rolls of paper to produce various direct mail pieces. In addition, these pieces may be personalized by addition of an Imaging station. Offline Finishing provides many advantages by separating the relatively slower finishing operations form the press and thereby enabling the presses to run at the top speeds. In addition, a variable size line can process rolls of different repeat lengths printed on different presses. Innotech has the expertise to provide INLINE as well as OFFLINE Finishing Systems to meet customers requirements.

A typical finishing system is located downstream of customer's ink-jet imaging station and consists of a controlled infeed, a ribbon deck, wet gluer, several plow towers, each with two rotary plows and a variable size Gap-Cutting Rotary Cutter. The finishing products are delivered in a shingled stream onto a delivery conveyor. Auxiliary equipment include a web guide and print to cut register system.

The variable size rotary cutter can cut and deliver 2,3 and 4 around products from various repeat lengths. To minimize make ready time, additional cutter-heads can be provided with a quick change over system. Thus, the knives can be set for the next job while the cutterhead is in a special stand adjacent to the Rotary Cutter.
